Agents that let you act while others are still analyzing!

Why it matters:

For marketers, this post clearly articulates how AI has reshaped what marketers do, how they do it, and where they do it. It then describes Optimove AI, built as a single suite across all three pillars: inside the platform with Native AI, outside it through the Optimove MCP for tools like Claude and ChatGPT, and on top of it through Custom Apps for client-specific needs.

Key takeaways:

  • Optimove AI is the only marketing AI suite for marketers, built around three pillars: Native AI, the Optimove MCP, and Optimove Custom Apps
  • Native AI brings AI agents inside Optimove, working alongside marketers to decide, create, optimize, and analyze
  • The Optimove MCP is a two-way, governed connection that lets marketers read from and write to Optimove from Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI tools
  • Optimove Custom Apps are tailored, AI-built applications that adapt the platform to specific business needs no out-of-the-box feature covers
  • Together, the three pillars cover what marketers do, how they do it, and where they do it

The marketer's world has changed

AI is reshaping how people work, how businesses operate, and how technology adapts to human intent. Marketing is one of the first professions to feel it.

What marketers do is changing. AI agents now decide, draft, and optimize work that used to demand a full team. How marketers do it is changing too — the handoffs between strategist, analyst, designer, and campaign manager are collapsing into a single workflow. And where marketers do it is changing fastest. The work no longer waits for the marketer to open the right application. It happens where the marketer already is: in Claude, ChatGPT, Slack, Microsoft Copilot, and any AI surface where strategies form and decisions get made.

This is the world Optimove AI is built for.

Introducing Optimove AI: The only marketing AI suite for a changing world

Today, Optimove is bringing its complete AI offering together under one name: Optimove AI. It is the only marketing AI suite for marketers, built around three pillars that map directly to how marketing work is changing — what, how, and where.

Inside the platform: Native AI. Outside the platform: The Optimove MCP. On top of the platform: Optimove Custom Apps.

AI is not new at Optimove. Predictive models, machine-learning insights, decisioning, and product recommendations have been part of the platform for years. Optimove AI expands that foundation into a complete suite for the way marketing teams work today.

Inside the platform — Native AI

Native AI is the agentic layer inside Optimove. AI agents — including the Optimove AI Journey Decisioning Agent, the Audience Decisioning Agent, the Campaign Decisioning Agent, the Content Decisioning Agent, the Content Intelligence Agent, the Content Advisor Agent, and the Insights Agent — work alongside marketers to decide, create, optimize, and analyze.

The hub is AI Decisioning Studio. A marketer defines a strategic goal — say, maximizing net revenue across a Black Friday program. The agents activate against that goal: surfacing the highest-value segments, drafting and adapting content, choosing the next best campaign for each customer, monitoring performance, and recommending course corrections in real-time. The strategist, the analyst, and the campaign manager can all be the same person, because the agents handle the work between them.

The substrate behind the agents is what makes them work: predictive models trained on 1 billion real-time events processed daily across 7 million campaigns a year, spanning iGaming, retail, online trading, and financial services. Explore the agent layer in more detail on the Optimove AI hub

Outside the platform — the Optimove MCP

Marketers no longer think exclusively inside their marketing platform. They draft a strategy in Claude, write copy in ChatGPT, collaborate in Slack, and pull data in Microsoft Copilot. The Optimove MCP brings Optimove to them.

The MCP is a two-way connection. Connected AI tools can read from Optimove — customer profiles, predictive scores, campaign performance, content libraries, and documentation. They can also write back into Optimove — Target Groups, audiences, campaign drafts, templates, promotions, and customer attribute updates, all created through natural conversation in the AI tool.

It is also governed. Every campaign created through the MCP automatically inherits Optimove's frequency caps, multichannel preference centers, control groups, and role-based approvals. The marketer's rules travel with them, regardless of which AI tool they are working in.

The MCP organizes its capabilities into 4 functions:

  1. Explore — discover what already exists in the Optimove tenant, including segments, lifecycle stages, predictive tiers, events, KPIs, and templates
  2. Builder — create drafts in Optimove, including target groups, campaigns, templates, and promotions. Drafts only; activation stays in the Optimove UI
  3. Analyst — analyze performance across campaigns, KPIs, channel metrics, and audience sizing
  4. Knowledge — look up documentation for the MCP itself and for the broader Optimove platform

A concrete example. A CRM manager working inside Claude asks Optimove to surface high-value customers likely to churn over the next two weeks. The predictive segment appears in the same conversation. A multichannel target group gets built with the right frequency caps and control groups. Retention copy is drafted across email and SMS. The full campaign is pushed back into Optimove, ready for approval. No leaving Claude. No switching tabs.

The Optimove MCP currently supports Claude and ChatGPT, with the broader integration path to be published at developer.optimove.com

On top of the platform — Optimove Custom Apps

For two decades, SaaS won by giving every customer the same product. Bespoke software was too slow and too expensive to maintain. AI has changed that math. Custom workflows, integrations, and business logic can now be built in days or weeks, not years. Now, a new generation of marketing teams is asking for software that adapts to their business, not the other way around.

Optimove Custom Apps are tailored, AI-built applications that live inside the Optimove tenant, embedded in a dedicated Apps area, and use Optimove's data, creative, and optimization power underneath. Built by Optimove AI Engineers in partnership with brands, they deploy inside the same security and governance envelope as the rest of the platform and are maintained as part of the Optimove product family.

3 quick examples:

  1. A Holiday Pauser for an online trading firm that bulk-pauses every outbound campaign across email, push, and in-app on local market-closure days and country-specific holidays — then automatically resumes them
  2. A real-time transactional email monitor for a US retail brand that aggregates millions of weekly transactional sends into a live dashboard, surfacing volume, error rates, deliverability trends, and template-level alerts
  3. A merchant brief-to-campaign studio for a multi-brand operator that turns a free-text business request — for example, push excess women's denim to past buyers and similar-brand shoppers — into a ready-to-launch audience, content draft, and impact estimate in minutes

Each app would have taken a year of traditional development. With Custom Apps, the same outcome ships in weeks.

Why an AI suite that works in three places matters

Most marketing platforms answer one of two questions about AI: what is built into the platform, or whether the platform can connect to an external AI tool. Optimove answers both and adds a third question no one else asks: Can the platform adapt to a specific business need that doesn't justify a productized feature?

A single AI feature inside a CRM is useful. A suite that works across inside, outside, and on top of the platform is something else.

In summary

The marketer's world has changed. Optimove AI meets that change across every place marketing work now happens: 1) inside the platform with Native AI, 2) outside the platform with the Optimove MCP, and 3) on top of the platform with Custom Apps. Three pillars, one suite, built for how marketers work today.

FAQ

What is Optimove AI?

open

Optimove AI is the only AI suite for marketers, organized around three pillars: Native AI inside the platform, the Optimove MCP for the AI tools marketers already use outside the platform, and Custom Apps built on top of the platform.

What are the three pillars of Optimove AI?

open

Native AI is the agentic layer inside Optimove, with AI agents including the Journey Decisioning Agent and the Content Advisor Agent. The Optimove MCP is a two-way, governed connection that extends Optimove into external AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT. Optimove Custom Apps are tailored, AI-built applications deployed inside the Optimove tenant for needs no out-of-the-box feature covers.

Is the Optimove MCP one-way or two-way?

open

Two-way. Connected AI tools can both read Optimove data, content, and analytics, and write back into Optimove — creating Target Groups, campaign drafts, templates, promotions, and attribute updates. Activation stays in the Optimove UI, and every action automatically inherits Optimove's governance, including frequency caps, control groups, and approvals.

Which AI tools does the Optimove MCP support today?

open

Claude and ChatGPT are supported out of the box. Any AI tool that can authenticate with Optimove's API and make REST calls — including Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Slack, and custom in-house systems — can perform similar work via the API.

How are Optimove Custom Apps different from traditional professional services?

open

Optimove Custom Apps are governed by bespoke development, not one-off code. They are built by Optimove AI Engineers in partnership with brands using AI-native tooling, deployed into the client's Optimove tenant, and continuously maintained inside Optimove's standard operational envelope. They are a product line with scoping, sizing, and pricing — not a services engagement.
