AI built for marketers.

Predict, create, and optimize — without waiting on data, dev, or design.

Why it matters:

Marketers have been running campaigns, audiences, and analysis through the Optimove MCP from Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and other AI tools. OptiGenie brings that same natural language way of working directly inside Optimove, closing the gap between an AI-drafted recommendation and getting hands-on with it. For CRM teams deciding where to work next, this changes which door to walk through first. It ends the context switch that used to sit between that recommendation and the platform where it gets finished.

Key takeaways:

  • OptiGenie brings everything Optimove MCP can do directly inside the platform, plus in-platform context and access to Optimove's specialized decisioning, insights, and creative agents
  • Optimove AI is the only marketing AI suite that works in three places: outside the platform, on top of it through Custom Apps, and inside it with Native AI. OptiGenie and the Optimove MCP are complementary, not competing
  • Optimove MCP has only been live a few weeks, and teams are already running full CRM audits, cross-brand campaign builds, and daily reporting through it
  • OptiGenie ends the context switch between a request in a chat window and finishing it in the platform
  • OptiGenie respects existing Optimove permissions and governance, and every draft still requires a marketer's review before anything goes live

Since Optimove MCP launched, marketers, operations teams, and C-Level executives have been building with Optimove in natural language from wherever they already work: Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot. They're getting real results back: from campaign status, promotion performance, audience sizes, platform health, campaigns ready to review, all the way to fully agentic workflows spanning tool sin their tech ecosystem. All without needing to export data, open tickets, or wait on someone else's availability.

The MCP is one part of Optimove AI, the only marketing AI suite that works in three places: outside the platform, in the tools teams already use; on top of it, through Custom Apps; and inside it, with Native AI.

But moving between them still costs something. A marketer can ask for a churn-risk audience and get it in seconds. Then they open Optimove to refine it. That is a context switch, and it happens every time an AI-drafted recommendation needs a human hand on it.

To end that switching, we just introduced OptiGenie: the AI agent built directly into Optimove that brings that same conversation inside the platform.

What OptiGenie Is

OptiGenie, part of Optimove AI, inherits the full Optimove MCP toolkit. Ask about campaigns, promotions, triggers, journeys, segments, and platform health, or ask it to build the pieces of a campaign, like audiences, triggers, calculated attributes, campaigns, promotions, and templates, all in plain English. The difference is where it lives. OptiGenie sits inside Optimove itself, with direct, contextual access to the platform a marketer is already working in, so the distance between “here's what I'd build” and actually building it collapses into one place instead of two.

It allows marketers to easily go from agentic to hands-on. An external assistant can hand a marketer a fully-formed draft, but they still have to open Optimove to review, refine, and activate it. OptiGenie is already standing in the room where that happens.

Where OptiGenie Fits Alongside the Optimove MCP

They're not competing products. They're two entries into the same Optimove AI. Which one a marketer reaches for depends on where they're standing.

Reach for OptiGenie (Native AI) when:

  • The goal is the shortest possible path from an AI suggestion to hands-on work, in-platform, in context, without switching windows
  • The task is a specialized, platform-native use case, like decisioning or AI-driven insight, that depends on Optimove's own data model and screens
  • Universal access matters more than any single AI client, since OptiGenie works inside the platform no matter which tool a marketer prefers elsewhere

Reach for Optimove MCP when:

  • The work starts outside Optimove entirely, in an inbox, a terminal, an IDE, or a planning doc
  • Optimove needs to connect to other systems, like other MCPs or an office suite, as part of a workflow that spans more than one tool
  • The team is building something custom, like a skill, a plugin, or a bespoke agent, where Optimove is one ingredient among several

Put simply: Optimove MCP is Optimove meeting a marketer wherever they already are. OptiGenie is Optimove meeting them there too, except “there” is already inside the platform, ready to finish what the MCP started.

The Proof Is Already In

The Optimove MCP has only been in teams' hands a short time, and they've already put it to work well beyond “answer my question.” A few examples, anonymized:

Reporting is starting to run itself. One CRM leader benchmarked months of send volume and deliverability, then rebuilt an entire event taxonomy in a single sitting, work that used to take a data team days. Another team now checks channel performance and live test results every morning, the way others check email. For one of the heaviest users, roughly half of all activity is now fully automated: a standing AI agent running continuously, with no person in the loop.

Teams are building at real volume. A dozen marketers across ten brands went live overnight, building a cross-brand audience spanning four million customers in the time it takes to get coffee. One marketer ran an entire lifecycle program solo, producing dozens of new drafts in days, including dozens of newly priced offers. Another team's single busiest day of drafting happened with the MCP: dozens of new audiences defined in one sitting.

For some, it's become a daily habit rather than a project. Checking audience size before every send has become second nature for some teams: over a thousand size and profile checks in two weeks, with “how many will this hit?” answered before the campaign is even built. One operator now runs a ten-brand CRM from a single chat window, tracking depositors daily and mapping out the whole reactivation calendar. Another oversees campaigns across more than a dozen brands from one console, and in a single conversation, found thousands of unused audiences cluttering the account.

Some teams are pushing past what it was built for. Three people combed through an entire customer base in one sitting and surfaced millions of dormant accounts that had never converted. One team ran a full quarterly review of its CRM and redrew its regional segmentation strategy entirely in conversation, in local languages. The most adventurous team so far spans more than twenty people and eleven different AI assistants, using every capability on offer, including a streak of building playful minigames, more than twenty in a single day. Elsewhere, a team is pushing past reporting entirely, wiring live tracking events straight through the connector. Some of the heaviest use has been completely self-directed, with teams picking it up and running with no hand-holding at all.

That's what's already happening from outside the platform, through a connector that's barely a few weeks old, with teams stopping at drafts they still have to open Optimove to finish.

That same instinct now runs natively, inside the platform, with the full context of what a marketer is already working on from the first message. That's what OptiGenie is.

The Marketer Retains Total Control

OptiGenie respects existing Optimove permissions and governance: it cannot see or do anything the marketer using it could not see or do on their own. And every draft still requires a marketer's review before anything goes live. The AI does the work. The marketer makes the call.

In Summary

The Optimove MCP proved that marketers want to work with Optimove in plain English, from wherever they already are. OptiGenie takes that same idea and puts it inside the platform itself, with full context, direct access to Optimove's specialized agents, and the shortest possible distance between an idea and getting hands-on with it. Neither one replaces the other. Together with Custom Apps, they cover every place a marketer works.

What is the difference between the new and original OptiGenie?

open

The name now belongs to a different product.

In 2023, OptiGenie was the name of our GenAI answer engine. AI has moved a long way since then, and so has what marketers expect from it. Our suite is now Optimove AI, and it spans three places: inside the platform, outside it through the Optimove MCP for tools like Claude and ChatGPT, and on top of it through Custom Apps.

OptiGenie is now the conversational agent in the Optimove platform. It carries the full agentic toolkit, so marketers can ask about campaigns, promotions, audiences, and platform health, or build components like audiences, triggers, campaigns and journeys in plain language without leaving Optimove. Because it runs inside the platform, it also reaches our decisioning, insight, and creative agents, which an external assistant can't.

How is OptiGenie different from the Optimove MCP?

open

The Optimove MCP connects an AI assistant, like Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot to Optimove from outside the platform. OptiGenie lives inside Optimove itself,  with the full context of what a marketer is already working on.

Does OptiGenie replace the Optimove MCP?

open

No. They're two complementary ways into Optimove AI. Use OptiGenie for in-platform, hands-on work, and use the Optimove MCP when the work starts outside Optimove or spans multiple tools.

Can OptiGenie send or activate campaigns on its own?

open

No. Like the Optimove MCP, OptiGenie creates drafts and building blocks for a marketer to review. Every campaign still needs a marketer to approve and activate it  before anything reaches a customer. OptiGenie also operates within the marketer's existing Optimove permissions and governance.

Which teams is OptiGenie built for?

Marketers, CRM managers, and campaign teams already working inside Optimove, and anyone who wants the shortest path from an AI suggestion to something live in the platform.
