I recently had the honor of speaking at an event in Cape Town hosted by Optimove. The energy, the curiosity and the commitment to building a strong iGaming market in South Africa were incredible. As someone who has spent 14 years working across global casino and sportsbook brands, it was exciting to see how fast this region is growing.

Like most people in our industry, I did not grow up with dreams about work in gambling. Very few of us did. Yet here we are, shaping one of the most complex and fast-moving industries in the world.

I planned to stay and work in the industry for six months. Fourteen years later, I am still traveling the world and working in this industry.
