Why we use your personal data
We process your personal data for our legitimate interests as a business, but only if necessary for the purpose for which we collected it.
We may process your data:
- To analyze trends, administer or optimize the Website, monitor usage or traffic patterns (including to track visitors movements around the website) and gather demographic information about our user base as a whole
- To communicate directly with you, including by sending you newsletters, promotions and special offers or information about new products and services
- To deliver you advertising, including by serving and managing ads on third-party sites and to tailor ads based on your interests and browsing history

- Employment information (job title, responsibilities, position within the organization, etc.)

- From social media: If you choose to communicate to us via any of the social media platforms
- Verbal and written communications: When you send us an email, call or write a letter, or if we meet you face to face

Use of the Optimove system requires the provision of customer data (“Customer Data”) by our clients.
All Customer Data shall be retained until the earlier of: i) client request for Customer Data deletion; or ii) termination of the agreement between Optimove and the applicable client.
Third parties to which Optimove may disclose your personal information
Optimove gathers data for marketing purposes through its websites and by receiving customer lists when attending events. In some places on Optimove’s public-facing websites, you can fill out web forms to ask to be contacted by our Sales Team, sign up for a newsletter, register for an Optimove event, or download specific content. The specific personal data requested on these forms will vary based on the purpose of the form. We will ask you for information necessary for us to provide you with what you request through the form (for example, we will ask you for your email address if you want to sign up for an email newsletter and for your phone number if you want a member of our Sales Team to call you).
We use your email address to send you information about Optimove products, services or events in which we think you may be interested. You can opt out of receiving marketing communications from us at any time through your marketing preferences page by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any marketing email you receive from Optimove. You can also unsubscribe from emails using our online form. Please note that it may take up to three days to remove your contact information from our marketing communications lists, so you may receive correspondence from us for a short time after you make your request. You will not be able to opt out of product-essential emails from us, such as password reset emails, billing emails, or notifications of updates to our terms, unless you deactivate your account.
We may also use publicly-available information about you that we have gathered through services like LinkedIn, or we may obtain information about you or your company from third party providers. We use this information to help us understand our customer base better, such as your industry, the size of your company, and your company’s website URL.
Optimove will not sell your personal data, or the personal data of your end users. We may share your data personal data with third parties when marketing to you. In these cases, we do not allow any personal data to be used by third parties for their own marketing purposes. We will only share your data with a third party when it is necessary for our suppliers to provide services to us, or for another reason listed here, or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
When you visit an Optimove website, we process your information to market our services to you on other websites.
Marketing content and email subscriptions
You may opt-in to receive communications from us about information that we believe may be of interest to you, as well as news or offers from us or third parties, which may include our newsletter or information about special offers, products or offerings, or other items. The communications may be via email, SMS, telephone or social media.
The topic and frequency of our emails may change and if, at any time, you would like to stop receiving emails from us, you may follow the opt-out instructions contained in any such e-mail. Alternatively, you can email us and request to opt-out at [email protected]. If you opt-out of receiving emails or promotions from us, we still may send you email about content you’ve downloaded or any services you have requested or received from us, or for other customer-service purposes.
When you give us permission and subscribe to our communications, we will use electronic marketing (emails, SMS, social media) to communicate items that we feel may be of interest to you, including industry and company information, updates and offers.
Some of the content on our Websites may be restricted to subscribers only. You are given a free choice of whether to subscribe to our emails and get access to our subscriber-only content, or to not access the content.

Personalization & preferences
Cookies help us display the correct information and personalize your experience, by providing you with features, insights and customized content. They can also help you fill out forms more easily. Options for limiting the use and disclosure of your personal data

Data Privacy Framework
In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, Optimove commits to cooperate and comply respectively with the advice of the panel established by the EU data protection authorities (DPAs) and the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) with regard to unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF.
Optimove is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, Optimove Inc. adheres to the EU-U.S. DPF Principles, including as applicable under the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles.
We may disclose your personal data to a third party if (i) we reasonably believe that disclosure is compelled by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a government request (including to meet national security, emergency services, or law enforcement requirements), (ii) to enforce our agreements and policies, (iii) to protect the security or integrity of our services and products, (iv) to protect ourselves, our other customers, or the public from harm or illegal activities, or (v) to respond to an emergency which we believe in good faith requires us to disclose data to assist in preventing a death or serious bodily injury.
If Optimove is required by law to disclose any personal data of yours or your end user, we will notify you of the disclosure requirement, unless we are prohibited by law. Further, we object to requests we do not believe were issued properly.
